PlatinumGames teases a fifth Platinum 4 announcement

A fifth Platinum 4 announcement is now being teased by PlatinumGames. On April 1, the company revealed what should have been the fourth announcement for the Platinum 4, but it was an April Fools’ joke. Some fans might have enjoyed the prospect of the new retro arcade game that they pretended to be making, but many were just blind with rage. Clearly this isn’t a subject PlatinumGames can make light of. Now the Platinum 4 website has been updated with a fifth announcement, marked as “coming soon.”

While the fourth announcement from PlatinumGames was meant to help people have a laugh in these troubled times, it’s now time to get back to business. To recap, the first announcement was the Kickstarter project for The Wonderful 101: Remastered. The project was fully funded within an hour of launching.

The second announcement was Project G.G. This game is described as being the final part in Hideki Kamiya’s superhero trilogy. The third announcement was the brand new PlatinumGames Tokyo studio, and we all know what the fourth announcement was.

We’ve made a few predictions as to what the company might still reveal before, but Platinum studio head Atsushi Inaba has previously stated that the final project is a huge secret. So while not impossible, it’s unlikely that this final announcement will pertain to Bayonetta 3.
