Pokémon Café Mix will launch on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, June 23, as previously indicated. Looking over the listing for the game on the Nintendo website yields a few more details. The listing showed that the game will take up 112 MB of space and be available with Japanese, English, Korean, German, Italian, Chinese, French, and Spanish language support.
What won’t be supported is playing the game in docked mode. Pokémon Café Mix has a very distinct look and gameplay style that won’t be available outside of handheld mode, which makes sense considering this is also an Android and iOS title. In addition, you won’t be able to play the game with the Joy-Con while the Switch is in tabletop configuration, so if you don’t like handheld mode, you’ll either have to give this one a miss or suck it up and adapt.
While the game is free and available to preload now, there will be in-game microtransactions. These in-game purchases will probably allow players to buy items to pass more difficult levels when they get stuck, but we’ll have to wait and see exactly what they are tomorrow.
