As if Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Eevee couldn’t get any cooler, new footage this weekend revealed impressive new moves. These moves do not require an HM at all, making them easier for players to use. Pikachu is getting Splash Surf, and Eevee will learn Flare Burn.
This and other unique new moves were revealed on the Pokémon variety show Pokechi when Game Freak’s Director Junichi Masuda came on showcasing a new trailer. As we all may remember, Surfing Pikachu could only be obtained in Pokemon Yellow by transferring a Pikachu from Pokémon Stadium. This, in turn, unlocked that super cute surfing mini-game.
The abilities don’t just end there; Pikachu and Eevee can also cut down trees using Diagonal Cut and Water Walk to cross over small bodies of water. You will probably have to unlock these moves somehow, but they will not take up move-set slots like HMs do.
More information is expected to be revealed during the upcoming rescheduled Nintendo Direct. What do fans think of this new key change and the new abilities? Let us know, and get ready for Pokémon: Let’s Go — only two more months to go!
