Pokemon marathon

Feeling nostalgic for the Pokemon television show? Have plenty of time to kill watching 19 seasons of it? If yes, Twitch has you covered with their Pokemon marathon.

Pokemon marathon

Featuring a staggering 932 episodes (!), the Pokemon marathon will follow series hero Ash Ketchum, from his incompetent beginnings to his Alola outing. Watch as he never physically ages and makes friends with animals he keeps in solitary confinement.

If you thought Twitch was going to take it easy with just the TV episodes, you are terribly naive. 16 Pokemon movie parties are also being prepared because Twitch is mad with power.

For some added entertainment while watching the cartoons, there will be a Twitch Presents: Pokémon Badge Collector extension. It can be used to “catch” Pokemon when they appear onscreen for points that you can use to compete with fellow streamers. Maybe there will be some fancy legendaries to obtain or at least 30 Spearows.

The Pokemon marathon will start on August 27, 1:00 PM EDT, and last for 10 months. It will be streamed in the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. The first run of episodes will be shown every Monday through Thursday and reruns will air on Friday and Saturday over on the /twitchpresents2 channel. Every Sunday /twitchpresents will host a Pokémon movie party at 10:00 AM PT. No word yet on whether or not rare Pokemon cards will be mailed out to viewers.

Will any readers take a vacation from work/school to watch the entire marathon? Let us know below.
