Game Freak’s director, Junichi Masuda, asked fans at a recent event to buy a Switch, presumably for the purpose of playing the newest Pokemon title. After a fan asked about the upcoming Pokemon title, Masuda remained tight-lipped but did reconfirm that his team is hard at work on the game. Then, Masuda said this:

“Who owns a Nintendo Switch? If you don’t have it, please buy one.”

Nintendo originally announced Pokemon on Switch last year but said that we could expect the game to launch at the end of 2018 at the earliest.  Nothing else is known about the title, but even this sentence is enough to get us all excited again. You can probably expect to hear more Pokemon news at E3 next month.

Eli buys virtually every Nintendo title that comes out but has expanded his collection to include amiibo. He hasn't taken them out of their boxes, though, so he might be a bit insane. When not playing video games, Eli likes writing about politics and games. He also runs a decent amount. Outside.
