Potion Party release date April 8 Nintendo Switch run an alchemy store couch co-op 1-4 players Top Hat Studios RPGames

Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer RPGames (solo German developer René) are bringing Potion Party to Nintendo Switch on April 8, 2021. Offering single-player or couch co-op for upward of four players, the game challenges you to run an alchemy store. “Team up to create amazing potions to make your clients happy, learn new recipes, and use your earnings to improve your work tools and the atelier itself!” the game explains. Potion Party will retail for $9.99/£9.99/9.99€ on the Nintendo Switch eShop, but you can preorder it now for 15% off.

The Potion Party launch trailer gives you an idea of what to expect from its bright and cute gameplay. The game offers 12 levels, each introducing their own mechanics, and there are also infinite and competitive modes. Versus challenges come in 1v1 and 2v2 varieties, with players aiming to satisfy the most customers in the least amount of time. You can unlock 11 more hirable characters with unique alchemy skills as well, all of whom you can level up to make more effective. The developer estimates 5-10 hours of gameplay.

It never hurts to have one more cute indie game to add to your multiplayer rotation on Nintendo Switch, so consider checking out Potion Party when it arrives on April 8.
