Volta-X comic book online comic GungHo Fumiaki Shiraishi Pramin Phatiphong

You know what more video games could use? A free tie-in online comic book that looks totally awesome. Sure enough, GungHo is delivering exactly that with its new Volta-X comic, and we have the pleasure of providing an exclusive first look at its first 15 pages!

Introducing a new world with the Volta-X comic

As we’ve previously covered in depth between previews and an exclusive feature, Volta-X is an upcoming Nintendo Switch (and now PC) game with a deeply unique premise. It’s a strategic one-on-one giant robot combat game, except you control the team of pilots who is running around inside the robot and telling it what to do. Whether engaging in the single-player campaign or head-to-head PVP, there are a lot of hectic battles to be had. And outside of battle, there’s also a robust base management simulation element too, so it’s a game you can keep playing for a long time.

But Volta-X offers a new world that’s never been seen, and this online Volta-X comic book is a slick and fun way to introduce you to that world and its characters. Here’s your first look at heroes Ian Woods and Sheldon!

There’s plenty more Volta-X comic where that’s come from. (We’ve seen some of it, and it’s beautiful.) Stay tuned to GungHo and Volta-X social media channels for lots more free comic book pages leading up to the release of the game on Nintendo Switch and PC later this summer. There’s a big story being told here!
