Back in September, Ubisoft formally announced the much rumored Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake — but not without a lot of confusion. Ubisoft only stated that the game would be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this January, yet its own website at that time offered an option to preorder the game on Nintendo Switch at an (inactive) Nintendo page. Furthermore, Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad implied the game would come to Switch — just not in January. Now, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Switch listings have appeared at two Greek retailers.
GameExplorers and The Console Club both have listings of the game with Nintendo Switch box art. The same art is used that has been used for other platforms to promote the game, and it looks pretty legitimate. Although, both listings currently list the same release date as the game has on other platforms, Jan. 21, 2021, which seems an unlikely date given the rest of the information we have.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is being developed by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, and while it overall looks quite promising, it has received some criticism for the strange faces being used for characters, especially for the prince himself.
