Project Warlock physical version Super Rare Games Buckshot Software Crunching Koalas

Developer Buckshot Software and publisher Crunching Koalas’ retro first-person shooter Project Warlock will get a physical release from Super Rare Games on Nintendo Switch. It will be limited to 4,000 copies, and it will be available to order starting Thursday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. ET for — factoring exchange rates — about $36.87 USD. Each customer may purchase a maximum of two copies, and orders will begin shipping on Feb. 1.

This Project Warlock physical release from Super Rare Games will include “all the content on its cart, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set.” (The Super Rare website shows you what the five cards look like.) And the game is of course region-free, able to be played on any Nintendo Switch.

Project Warlock originally launched on Switch in June 2020, offering classic FPS gameplay combined with RPG elements that took some inspiration from Hexen. The game offers 60 levels across five different areas, so there’s plenty of content to keep you busy. Our review of the game found that it offered an awesome soundtrack and a huge amount of gameplay variety, but its difficulty curve was really erratic.

Will you be grabbing this physical release of Project Warlock?
