QuakeCon 2020 doom-64-switch-version-nintendo-switch nintendo 64 comparison

In celebration of the company’s QuakeCon 2020 event, Bethesda has placed many of its biggest hits on pretty hefty Switch eShop discounts. You can try out classic Doom titles, recent Wolfenstein games, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the cheap. Check out the full list of titles and prices below, as assembled by NintendoEverything.

Doom (1993) – $2.49 (was $4.99)
Doom – $29.99 (was $59.99)
Doom 3 – $4.99 (was $9.99)
Doom 64 – $2.49 (was $4.99)
Doom II – $2.49 (was $4.99)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – $29.99 (was $59.99)
Wolfenstein: Youngblood Deluxe Edition – $19.99 (was $39.99)
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – $29.99 (was $59.99)

While the QuakeCon 2020 sale quite notably does not involve any Quake games on Switch (because there are none), you can still enjoy plenty of classic and new experiences at a premium. Some of these discounts are certainly more impressive than the others, though. Doom (2016), for example, is just not that alluring at $30 when it was $6 on other consoles just a few days ago. $30 for Skyrim isn’t that compelling, either. A couple of bucks to grab classic early Doom games, though? That’s pretty solid (although the initial Doom trilogy has gone on sale for less on Switch)

Will you pick anything up from the QuakeCon 2020 Switch eShop sale? What’s catching your eye? Anything you’ve put off for way too long? If you’re considering anything, you’ve got until midnight PT on August 10 to make your buy. Outside of Doom 64, there isn’t much that’s catching my eye, but I might take the plunge on another retro shooter.
