Recent Eternal Darkness Trademark Hinting at Digital Re-Release?

Nintendo’s refiling of the Eternal Darkness trademark, already an interesting event in it of itself, may now be hinting at possible release of Eternal Darkness digital content in the future.

According to the report, the refiled trademark mentions \”downloadable electronic game programs\” and \”downloadable electronic game software.\” This opens up the possibility of a re-release of the original title on the Wii U eShop or new Eternal Darkness content via digital download.

While nothing is confirmed, seeing Eternal Darkness on the Wii U eShop would be a delight. However, a brand new digital title under the Eternal Darkness name would be just as good, if not so much better.
