Reggie Fils-Aimé is presenter at The Game Awards 2019

Don’t call it a comeback, y’all — Reggie Fils-Aimé never left. Really, he hasn’t. Since opening up his Twitter account, Reggie has created a more intimate relationship with fans than he ever had during his tenure as the president of Nintendo of America. Your latest opportunity to see and hear the man is this Thursday night, Dec. 12, as he will be a presenter at The Game Awards 2019.

Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley recently revealed that around 10 brand new video games will be announced at the event, so that in itself is the major reason to watch it. Big Nintendo games are up for awards as well, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Game of the Year, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Best Art Direction, and Astral Chain for Best Action Game, among others.

If The Game Awards just does not put enough Reggie in your life, there are more opportunities to see him. In fact, you can buy a ticket for a meet-and-greet/selfie opportunity with him at the New York Game Awards, which will take place in Manhattan in January 2020. He will receive the Legend Award and give a speech to commemorate the occasion.

In the meantime, tell us if you’re hyped for the return of Reggie Fils-Aimé to The Game Awards, even if he doesn’t have a big new Nintendo project to reveal.
