Remothered: Broken Porcelain launch trailer release date August 25 Stormind Games Modus Games third-person horror Nintendo Switch Oct. 20 trailer

Remothered: Broken Porcelain launches today, Oct. 13, as a result of publisher Modus Games bringing the release date forward. This third-person survival horror title now arrives a couple weeks ahead of Halloween, and Stormind Games has released a launch trailer, showcasing the game’s chase sequences.

Running away from enemies is something you’ll get used to in Remothered: Broken Porcelain. The game’s predecessor, Remothered: Tormented Fathers, never gave you the tools to take down your enemies. The best form of attack was to escape, and we’re expecting Broken Porcelain to follow in the same footsteps.

The developer is introducing some new abilities to aid players in escaping though. Newly craftable items and stealth-focused mechanics are being introduced, providing opportunities to distract and slip away from enemies. These could grant you the time you’ll need to solve the game’s puzzles and further progress through the story. It would be nice to have a few more offensive options, but “escape the enemy” has become a popular direction for modern horror games.

If you’re thinking this looks like a good way to spend what’s bound to be a weird Halloween, you might want to catch up on the story. Thankfully, a trailer was released earlier this month detailing the story so far.

Will you be playing Remothered: Broken Porcelain at launch, or maybe saving it for this Halloween?
