Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

Following an accidental leak by Netflix Portugal, Netflix has revealed a new CG Resident Evil series titled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The series was initially unveiled early yesterday when Netflix Portugal tweeted out the teaser trailer, but the tweet and trailer were then pulled for several hours, indicating a likely mistake. Later on, the trailer resurfaced from other official sources. Check it out below.

Even with a one-minute teaser trailer, we still do not know a ton about Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, but a few details and tidbits have snuck through. The show will focus on the adventures of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, intending to add “suspense into dynamic action scenes” that will “reveal a Resident Evil world unlike anything seen before. According to Gematsu, the show is executive produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi of Capcom, produced by TMS Entertainment, and animated by Quebico (who also worked on 2017’s Resident Evil: Vendetta).

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is set to stream on Netflix sometime in 2021. Are you excited to give it a look? What stories do you hope to see the series explore? Let us know all that you’re looking forward to with the show in the comments below.
