Rogue Company alpha game codes are out for Hi-Rez FPS action

Rogue Company alpha game codes were emailed out to anyone who has signed up to them. Developer Hi-Rez Studios announced the game’s alpha back in March, and it doesn’t seem any less exciting for Nintendo Switch players now. The biggest draw of Rogue Company is the fact that it’s a brand new team shooter game with cross-platform support, meaning Switch players can compete with anyone playing on any console.

As anyone who plays the Rogue Company alpha will know, this game combines a few elements from some of the most popular shooters on the market. It hosts a small selection of unique characters for players to take on the role of, each with their own special abilities and skill, which is similar to the Operator roster in Rainbow Six Siege. The game also has a number of modes that resemble those from Ubisoft’s prolific shooter, including guarding and disarming bombs.

As we’ve seen in trailers, the game also borrows from games like Apex Legends when it comes to movement, but it has a unique feel to it that none of the games it borrows from manage to achieve. On Nintendo Switch at least, this could become the go-to shooter for those who want something other than Fortnite or Warface, but then again, Apex Legends is also on the Switch horizon.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
