Monkey Ball amiibo aiai rumor packaging

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania was one of many highlights during E3 2021, and unsubstantiated images shared online make it appear an AiAi amiibo could be released alongside the game. This comes from a post on 4chan via Resetera, where a render of the Monkey Ball amiibo randomly appeared on the /toy/ board. If this is real, it will be far from the first time that a third-party amiibo has been produced. In the past, we have seen amiibo for franchises such as Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, and even Shovel Knight.

If this turns out to be fake, the creator has done an excellent job at producing the AiAi Monkey Ball amiibo. However, as noted by Nintendo Life, the Nintendo logo doesn’t normally appear on the third-party boxes and is instead replaced with just the amiibo logo or the Nintendo Seal of Quality. At any rate, Sega rarely releases merchandise for the Super Monkey Ball franchise, so this would be an excellent way to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania launches on Oct. 8 2021, and Sega recently revealed the various editions available at release. Do you think this Monkey Ball amiibo is real or a fake created to cause pain for hardcore fans? Let us know in the comments below.
