Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

Fans of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, a farming simulation game that has received some pretty extensive patchwork over the last few months, can look forward to some free cosmetic DLC based on Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. The DLC, titled “Princess Sakuna’s Heavenly Garb,” will be ready for Story of Seasons players on September 15, and you’ll have until March 30 of next year to claim the outfit. The announcement comes through a tweet, which you can see below.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has quietly cemented its status as an indie hit over the last couple of years, even surpassing one million copies sold. As the game’s profile improves, it is no surprise to see collaborations like this one take off. Here, a partnership with popular publisher Marvelous and the beloved Story of Seasons franchise could be a great way to earn some free promotion for the game.

Are you a fan of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town? What about of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin? Do you plan on snagging this free outfit, or can you not be bothered by cosmetic DLC even if it’s free? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
