Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin started as a title by two-person indie developer Edelweiss, but less than a year and 1 million copies later, it is getting a figure by Good Smile Company. The figure comes from Good Smile’s Pop Up Parade line that focuses on speedy releases and affordable prices.
The harvest goddess is recreated, looking towards the sky with a content expression on her face. Unlike the customizable Nendoroid and Figma lines by Good Smile Company, the Pop Up Parade series are more like statues that feature characters in iconic poses that you might’ve seen from posters, key artwork, or box art.
The Pop Up Parade series slogan is “Quality Figures for Just 3,900 yen!” (~$35.58), and that’s how much the Princess Sakuna figure will cost. Each figure stands at around 17-18 cm in height. The Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin figure ships this November, and you can preorder it now on the Good Smile Online Shop. However, keep in mind that preorders will only be available until August 26 at 12:00 p.m. JST.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is available to purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $39.99/£34.99. You can check out more from the Pop Up Parade series on the Good Smile official website.
