SNK teased a new DLC crossover character for Samurai Shodown, and it will be from Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear series. The announcement comes from the Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable round 2 live stream earlier today.
The guest Guilty Gear character wasn’t revealed during the livestream, so your guess is as good as ours on who it could be. There’s a good chance we see one of the more popular characters like Sol Badguy or Ky Kiske make an appearance or even one of the new characters like Nagoriyuki for the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive. If it were up to me, though, I’d pick Mito Anji or Baiken based on looks and fighting styles.
The Guilty Gear character will join Samurai Shodown as the fourth DLC character in Season Pass 3. The Guilty Gear character will also be the fourth crossover character for Samurai Shodown. The first two were in Season Pass 2 with Warden from Ubisoft’s For Honor and Gongsun Li from Tencent’s Honor for Kings. Hibiki Takane from The Last Blade series will join in the Season Pass 3.
SNK also announced that Cham Cham, the first DLC character of Season Pass 3, will be available starting March 16, 2021. You can check out Cham Cham’s moves in her introduction trailer below:
Samurai Shodown is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Epic Games Store.
