Cinderace Scorbunny final evolution leaks for Pokémon Sword and Shield

On one hand, it’s weird for Nintendo to be so tight-lipped about a game’s new Pokémon so close to the release of a new title, particularly with regard to its starters. On the other hand, if Nintendo was looking to maintain a surprise with Pokémon Sword and Shield, they were doing a pretty good job of it — until the last couple days. Leak Armageddon is basically here, with images of new Pokémon all over Twitter and apparently 4chan. Twitter user @The_Devious in particular has gone wild posting seemingly legitimate images of numerous new Pokémon, including the final Scorbunny evolution that people have been waiting for. It’s apparently named Cinderace, and you can see its weaknesses if you click the second image.

I’m, uh, not up to date on reading the type symbols for these games, but it seems like Cinderace is weak to water, ground, and rock?

If you hate surprises and are the type of person to hold a wrapped Christmas gift up to the light in order to discern its contents, definitely check out more of that Twitter account’s leaked images of new Pokémon, both in the game and from a guide book.

Let us know what you think of Cinderace, the final Scorbunny evolution. And if you missed it yesterday, there are leaks for Grookey and Sobble too, as well as whoever this adorable critter is.

Pokémon Sword and Shield release on Nov. 15 worldwide.
