Severed Steel has been unveiled for Switch, PC, and other platforms with a 2021 release date. The game will launch on PC on Steam, Epic Games Store, and other storefronts on September 17, and will then launch on consoles later on in the year. As a first-person shooter with a focus on stylish, parkour-oriented combat, fully destructible environments, and more, the game should be a welcome distraction for fans of the genre. You can check out a trailer below to get a look at the game in action.
Here is the premise behind Severed Steel:
Severed Steel is a single-player first-person shooter featuring a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, loads of bullet time, and a unique one-armed protagonist. It’s you, your trigger finger, and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of bad guys. Chain together wall runs, dives, flips, and slides to take every last enemy down.
While the game, which comes courtesy of publisher Digerati and developer Greylock Studio, will not be out on Switch until a later date, it is still exciting to see that it is even on the way. With any luck, the game will be able to deliver on Switch, and soon, with a high-octane dose of destructive, stylish FPS gameplay.
