Smash Ultimate skeleton

The dead are rising in Super Smash Bros Ultimate this weekend, as skeleton-themed spirits will be taking over the Spirit Board. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the spirits are fully skeletal, as Dr. Wily will be riding in his traditional skull-themed vehicle. Dry Bowser will obviously be the star of the show, rocking his undead style, but you also have Cubone, one of the best Pokémon from the original 151.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has seen a ton of support from the developers since launch in 2018, offering a multitude of various characters to play as. Just recently, Kazuya from Tekken was released as part of the Smash Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2. The release of the popular fighting character marks a special yet saddening occasion, as there is only one more character to be released. Expectations are probably high for this one, with some fans hoping that characters such as Crash Bandicoot will make their way into the game. However, no matter what happens, there’s no denying how much of a celebration of video games Smash Ultimate truly is. You also have the array of spirits, such as this skeleton event, that provide extra fan service for various titles.

These spooky skeleton-themed spirits will arrive on the Spirit Board in Super Smash Bros Ultimate on Friday, July 23. They will only be available for a limited time, so completionists will definitely want to collect them all. Will you be attempting to collect these skeleton spirits in Smash Ultimate?
