Slender is coming to Switch, but I don't know why

Slender: The Arrival is making its way to Nintendo Switch next month. This once popular horror game has already been on several other gaming platforms, but now you can take it on the go! Check out the Switch version’s trailer below.

Honestly, I’m not sure who the audience for this game is. The popularity of Slender and the Slender Man mythos has died down significantly since the game released in 2013. It was arguably already a dead topic by the time the Wii U version released in 2015.

So why would it be on the Nintendo Switch and why now? Maybe Blue Isle Studios is hoping people will be nostalgic for the game. Maybe some people just want to play it on the go. They could also be seeing if people are still interested in the topic for a potential sequel.

Whatever the reason, you can download your Switch version of Slender: The Arrival on June 20. Make sure to keep an eye out for it if you want some quality jump scares!

Will you be picking up this port of Slender: The Arrival next month? Do you think Slender Man is even still relevant in gaming? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

I love all kinds of video games. I personally find the most enjoyment in JRPGs, Visual Novels, and pretty much anything Nintendo makes. I'm always open to discovering new types of games, so I'll be happy to check out anything someone suggests.
