Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has performed exceptionally well ever since it’s release. To add to its success, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has won Famitsu’s 2018 Game of the Year Award along with Monster Hunter: World. Game creator Masahiro Sakurai was in attendance to receive the award. Sakurai also picked up the MVP award at the show.

The winning didn’t end there for Nintendo. Kirby snagged character of the year, while Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee received an excellence award along with Dragon Quest Builders 2. Octopath Traveler also picked up a few awards including an excellence award, best soundtrack, and the rookie award. It was quite the night for Nintendo!
