While we’ve seen a lot of Pokémon recreations in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we haven’t seen many fans attempt to touch upon… GoldenEye 007. Well, now that has all changed with the GoldenEye intro in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, put together by SkyHawkJD, who managed to pull together a pretty great tribute to one of the most iconic shooters in gaming history.
As you’d expect, this doesn’t actually feature any island gameplay. It wouldn’t make any sense to try to recreate a Bond game within a life simulator, but the intro sequence seems to have worked fairly well. The opening shot, down the barrel of the gun, is the only part of the video that you can tell was let down ever so slightly by Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the rest of the shots are really well done.
You might not remember the original intro to GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64, but it did feature each of these characters doing their own cheesy poses. It’s awesome just how close the outfits created in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can come to the real thing, even though the real thing in this case is just another virtual outfit. We don’t have a creator code for SkyHawkJD for the items used in the GoldenEye intro in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but hopefully he releases it soon so we can pinch those outfits.
