It feels like it has been years since the Sonic the Hedgehog movie left its mark on theaters in America and around the globe, but the film is only just now releasing in China. The movie, which was successful enough that a release date is already set for the sequel, was initially set to release on February 28, but months of COVID-19-induced shutdowns made that date completely unfeasible to hit. However, reopened cinemas, as exciting as they may be, do not mean that the world is totally safe. That’s why several Chinese advertisements for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie remind viewers to stay safe by practicing social distancing, wearing a mask, and abiding by other protective measures. Check out the posters below, as tweeted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad.
Reminders like this are a fun way to make sure people keep these important measures at the front of their minds. The Sonic the Hedgehog movie should be a great time for fans in China, but everyone watching has to take every possible precaution to keep safe and prevent another surge of COVID-19 infections.
