Space Intervention

Gamers do enjoy the Nintendo Switch. The company’s previous console, the Wii U? Not so much. Though it has a certain cult status, the Wii U is widely regarded as a misstep by Nintendo. However, it has some life in it yet! A brand new indie game, Space Intervention, is now available on the system. It’s certainly, uh, something.

Space Intervention looks familiar

Space Intervention can be purchased digitally via the Wii U eShop. It will cost players $0.84, which must be some kind of launch special because the retail price is $0.99. Savings!

Check out the title’s description below:

Save our galaxy from the invasion of an alien race.

Based on the plot, name, and screenshots of the game, Space Intervention is a clone of Space Invaders. A very blatant one, at that, with absolutely no shame. This is not the swan song we envisioned for the beloved Wii U. It deserved better.

Enthusiasts, will you spend your pocket change on Space Intervention? Do you even have the 75 MB to spare for downloading? Above all, are any of you hoping the title eventually makes its way over to Switch? Let us know in the comment field down below.
