The weekend is here, so many of us can finally sink our teeth into a game or two. What does that entail for you? Whether you’re knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you’ve got planned.
This time around, I’m chugging along with two games I have been juggling for a bit of time now, Banjo-Tooie and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions. My opinions on each pretty much remain the same: Banjo-Tooie is satisfying, but ultimately has too much going on for its own good, and Mario & Luigi is a silly, charming adventure that has a habit of drawing me in for hours at a time.
On top of those two, though, I’m looking to add something else to the rotation. Where’s the fun in just methodically playing through one or two games at a time? Sure, if I did that I might actually focus long enough to beat a game that’s longer than three hours, but why would I want that? My inability to stick to one game at a time means that I’ll be firing up Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on my Switch later today. I’m really excited to get started with what will be my first experience with Activision’s purple mascot.
