Nintendo has produced its fair share of local multiplayer greats over the years, from household staples like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart to a handful of lesser-known fun-fests like the later Pikmin games. Over the years, many of these games have established themselves as permanent members of our local multiplayer rotations. Which Nintendo game is your favorite for local multiplayer? Why?
Star Fox Assault is a big favorite of mine. The game is one of Nintendo’s most underrated, largely because of the overlooked and incredible local multiplayer mode. Excellent maps and guns, a variety of modes, and smooth, fun gameplay have solidified Star Fox Assault‘s spot in my local multiplayer rotation for over a decade. The game is a pure, action-packed delight that is easy to pick up and enjoy. It’s fueled dozens of sleepovers, hangouts, and get-togethers over the years, never failing to satisfy.
Of course, there are plenty of other amazing Nintendo games that I find myself playing quite frequently, such as Pikmin 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There are so many excellent choices out there. Which Nintendo game is your favorite for local multiplayer? Why? Let us know in the comment section below.
