Stardew Valley somehow has not yet seen a physical version, but that’s finally being rectified on Switch and PC, as confirmed today in a tweet from Eric Barone, the game’s creator. Both a standard and collector’s edition will ship in November of this year, with the standard version running $34 on Switch and the collector’s edition costing you $69 on the hybrid platform. Preorders are live now on fangamer.com.
I'm really pleased to announce a physical version of Stardew Valley for Switch & PC! This is in collaboration with @Fangamer and there is both a standard edition and a collector's edition w/ bonus goodies. Pre-orders are now available: https://t.co/u0Cp2PAyms pic.twitter.com/VbqK7Koylh

The base edition of Stardew Valley comes with a standard case and booklet, while the collector’s edition features plenty of fun extra goodies as pictured in the above tweet. Included is a wooden stand, a wooden lapel pin, a 14-page comic, and a deed for your farm (with gold-foil detailing and paper created from 30% recycled straw, a real-life byproduct of farming). Additionally, those who preorder before August 15 can nab a snazzy bonus poster. It all looks very, very cool.
As I mentioned, a physical version of Stardew Valley feels like something that’s been a long time coming. The game has sold over ten million copies, after all. Do you think you’ll add to that total by picking up the physical edition on Switch or PC? Will you go for the standard or collector’s version? Let us know in the comments below.
