Banjo-Kazooie 7-Eleven store ad Japan Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

A new Japanese convenience store ad hints towards an upcoming release for Banjo-Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The advertisement was spotted in a Japanese 7-Eleven store by @PushDustIn on Twitter.

As the Twitter user relates, 7-Eleven stores in Japan also had similar advertisements for the Hero back in July. The Hero then released in Smash Ultimate only a week after these ads began popping up. Super Smash Bros. fans can be hopeful that Banjo-Kazooie may possibly appear in Ultimate in a week’s time, or at least maybe by the time the ad finishes up on Sept. 15.

Banjo-Kazooie ad & Smash Ultimate’s DLC

Banjo-Kazooie were first announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate alongside the Hero at E3 2019. The duo will be the third character in Smash Ultimate’s Fighters Pass and the game’s fourth DLC character overall. While the initial announcement confirmed a fall 2019 release, nothing further has been announced since.

Lots of recent news has us thinking about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s downloadable fighters. Recent evidence all but confirms that the next DLC fighter will be a character from an SNK game. Fans may look forward to a character from Metal Slug, The King of Fighters, or something else totally unexpected. Between the Banjo-Kazooie ad and the SNK fighter rumor, Smash DLC is at the forefront of our minds. Hopefully, we will receive official updates from Nintendo about both of these in the near future.
