Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Premium Edition limited physical release XSEED Games Marvelous preorder

During the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase in late October, XSEED Games and Marvelous revealed Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which will launch next March. Now, XSEED has revealed a couple special retail editions, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Premium Edition for North America and Deluxe Edition for Europe, in addition to the standard retail option.

The standard edition base game with no extras will cost $49.99. However, for just $10 more, you can get the Premium Edition. The Story of Season: Pioneers of Olive Town Premium Edition comes with a cute buffalo pocket plushie alongside a large cloth poster containing the game’s key art. While there’s not tons in here, we’d rather have a few nice extras than loads of tat for a chunk of extra cash.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition, which will retail for £54.99 / €59.99, will include “an A5 notebook containing 140 pages filled with colourful character art and space to document your adventure, ten trading cards that feature character bios and helpful hints for the different marriage candidates, and an A3 poster featuring exclusive artwork from Igusa Matsuyama.”

As for the game itself, it sounds like your typical Story of Seasons title, albeit emphasizing the pioneer aspect. Expect to be doing plenty of farming, mining, fishing, and foraging, this time in Olive Town. XSEED says the game will contain “over 200” unique events, so it should keep Story of Seasons fans busy.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, standard, Premium, or Deluxe Edition, launches March 23, 2021.
