Grasshopper Manufacture’s Goichi Suda (Suda51) has revealed in a new interview that he had originally planned for Sylvia to gun down No More Heroes\’ lead protagonist Travis Touchdown at the end of the game. Fortunately for fans of the series this idea was re-thought before the game was released, else the sequel may never of happened.

“Sylvia knows she’s sexy and she uses it as a weapon. She was an easy character to model because her personality was so strong. It wasn’t my intention when I made her, but early in development someone commented that she reminded them of Scarlett Johansson.” – senior character artist Takashi Kasahara

No More Heroes is n action-adventure hack and slash originally conceived as a Wii exclusive in 2007, but later ported to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan. The Playstation 3 version was also localized for western audiences. The game tasks the player with killing the top ten assassins in an open world with various side-quests. Travis is armed with his beam-sword which is controller with the Wii Remote, and in typical Suda51 fashion is put to great use.
