Summer Game Fest will be making a return in June. The online event will once again be directed and hosted by Geoff Keighley, providing news and announcements on upcoming titles. Summer Game Fest debuted last year during the height of the ongoing pandemic, somewhat replacing the then-canceled E3 2020 and existing alongside some other events. Summer Game Fest 2021 will feel more focused than last year, occurring within the span of one month according to Geoff Keighley.
.@SummerGameFest returns this June!
A spectacular, concentrated global showcase of the future of video games — where everyone comes to play.

Meanwhile, E3 is expected to return this year as an online digital event. There was a report that this year’s E3 would incorporate some kind of paid experience, but E3 itself soon stated that would not happen.
Nintendo’s plans for the summer are a mystery, as per Nintendo norm. Last year was a relatively quiet period of time for the Big N, running a few Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcases in lieu of large events. However, we saw the return of a traditional Nintendo Direct in February, with games such as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and Splatoon 3 being announced. Hopefully, we will see more information from Nintendo around E3 time, in June or thereabout, as it promised that more details on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s sequel would be shared later this year.
Summer Game Fest 2021 is currently allowing you to register your interest, which will send you updates and alerts when more news is shared.
