Super Mario Galaxy 2 Nintendo games of the decade

The weekend is upon us at last, and for many of us, that means finally sinking our teeth into a game or two. What does that entail for you? Whether you’re knee-deep in the latest release or cruising through your backlog, let’s hear what you’ve got planned.

I’m deep in replays this weekend. I’m cruising through Super Mario Galaxy 2 in my long overdue, very drawn out attempt at a 100% run. I just passed 60 stars last night and entered World 6. It’s an absolutely dazzling, ceaselessly stunning masterpiece of a game, but what else is new? 3D Mario never misses a beat.

I’m also working through some Star Fox Assault. It’s been months, but every now and then I like to sit down and knock out a level or two. With three missions left, I’m on the home stretch. The team personalities, the awkward voice acting, and the sheer fun of mowing down hordes upon hordes of robot bugs are a big part of why I played this game so damn much as a kid, and why I still love to pop it in every now and then today.

What are you working on this weekend? Are you playing a brand new game, or are you just doing some good old-fashioned backlogging? Let us hear your plans in the comments.
