Super Mario 3D All-Stars Galaxy - Metroid: Other M - Wii - Nintendo

Another weekend is just about wrapped up. Hopefully, that means that you were able to spend some time with a few games over the last couple of days. What did that entail for you? Did you work on your backlog, try out a brand new game, play some multiplayer favorites, or something else? Was it a Nintendo weekend for you, or did you branch out with something on PC or another console?

On the Nintendo side of things, I’m chipping away at a 120-star Luigi run on Super Mario Galaxy via Super Mario 3D All-Stars. I finished up with the Mario playthrough soon after the collection released on Switch last September, and I’m already craving another run through this excellent game. So far, it’s a wonderful time, of course. When I’m done with Super Mario Galaxy, I’m not sure what single-player game I’ll pick up next, but I am looking at a handful of games, including Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Gears 5.

I’m also spending time in and out of Halo Reach through the Master Chief Collection. I love Reach and its stage-builder in particular. Last night, I took a couple of hours to myself and finished up a map I had been working on for the past couple of weeks. It’s an extremely satisfying process to finish, and with any luck, I’ll be testing it out with my friends before the day is done.

What did you play this weekend? Did you celebrate the one-year anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons by spending some time in the game? Did you knock a game or two off of your backlog? Let us know in the comments below.
