Switch sales Japan Super Mario Maker 2 The Messenger

Super Mario Maker 2 is continuing to make waves. Today, Nintendo revealed that over four million courses have already been uploaded to Super Mario Maker 2‘s online course world. Propelled by its initial release hype, the game passed two million courses uploaded on July 10th, but the ever-active player base only needed another three weeks to double that number.

Since the game sold two million copies worldwide in just its first three days, four million course uploads in Super Mario Maker 2 is not so hard to believe, especially for those like me who have gotten sucked into its addicting level-building loop. My favorite part of the game comes when I am significantly entrenched in building a level, at the point where I am constantly switching back and forth between playtesting and adding new obstacles and making tiny tweaks to perfect the level.

Clearly, Super Mario Maker 2 builders have a lot of ideas and are showing no signs of slowing down. With such a vast, constantly-growing assortment of levels out there, browsing the Course World and finding new ones to play is such a blast.

Four million courses is just so many, and the game’s builders are showing no signs of slowing down. How much of a role have you played in that total? Have you been uploading plenty of courses, or have you erred towards just trying to play as many of these level uploads as possible? Let us know in the comments.
