Super Nintendo World nintendo theme park

Nintendo has been one of the biggest names in gaming for decades, but that’s not all they do. In recent years they’ve been working on plans to expand into other entertainment venues. One of these new projects is an animated Super Mario movie, and another is a series of Nintendo-based theme park attractions. It’s been a while since we got an update on the latter, Super Nintendo World, but that’s changing quite soon!

Super Nintendo World theme park news incoming!

Nintendo has just announced via Twitter that a Super Nintendo World update is coming tonight. The news will drop at 7 p.m Pacific / 10 p.m. Eastern, or 3 a.m tomorrow morning in the UK. Nintendo didn’t provide any more specific info, but we don’t have long to wait now. The initial reveal came in the form of a video starring Shigeru Miyamoto and showing off concept artwork of some of their theme park plans. The Nintendo legend has been heavily involved in the creative process.

Since then, Nintendo has confirmed that there will be Mario Kart and Yoshi-themed rides. We’ve also soon Goombas at the construction site, and it’s sure to be populated with other Nintendo favorites in time. Super Nintendo World is aiming to open this year, before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. We might learn more about that big opening when the news drops tonight. Whatever they reveal, we’ll be right here covering it live!
