What Switch game have you put the most hours into?

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available for pre-order.  In order to reserve your copy right now, you can head over to Nintendo’s UK store.  Once you are there you can click the pre-order button, exchange the £59.99 needed and voila it is yours.  But Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not the only new Nintendo item available for pre-order right now.  If you want the £24.99 Super Smash Bros themed Gamecube controller you can put it in your digital cart as well.

Also per the UK store’s website free delivery is available on orders over £20.  So obviously you will be saving money when it comes to shipping.  But if you want to use the Gamecube controller while playing the game on your Switch, you will have to drop another £17.99 on the adapter which plugs into the Switch via USB.

But there is another catch to purchasing the new controller.  On the store’s website, it notes the controller and adapter are “Designed exclusively for use with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch”.  So if you wanted to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Skyrim with your new controller(s), you cannot do so. There are 65 characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Including the character most wanted by fans, Ridley from the Metroid series.  We also got a 40-minute hands-on experience with the game during E3 this year.  Just to be clear, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not a port of any kind.  It runs on a new engine, includes changes to the fighting system, including the reworking of Final Smashes, and contains other gameplay and graphical changes.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and its accessories will be released on December 7.
