Switch Slim Soft Pouch and Switch Lite Flap Cover Plus

No doubt, you must consider your Switch/Switch Lite to be a precious belonging. After all, the vast majority of us mere mortals don’t simply have a few hundred dollars to burn all the time. Thus, protecting an investment is simply the way to go.

When it comes to protective options for Nintendo’s current systems, there’s already a great deal to choose from. However, the folks over at Columbus Circle are throwing their hat into the ring with a new carrying pouch for the flagship Switch and a slim cover for the Switch Lite.

Switch Slim Soft Pouch

  • Switch Slim Soft Pouch – as the name suggests, it’s a soft-body pouch that completely encases the flagship Switch. It also has slots to fit in a few other accessories like the Joy-Con straps and charging cable. This will work well for safely putting your Switch away into a backpack or bag without worrying too much about it getting bumped up by other items. But since this is still a soft case, try not to put it where it would be crushed against by heavier objects. The Switch Slim Soft Pouch will hit shelves in Japan in mid-December for 1200 yen ($11.03 USD).

Flip Cover Plus for Switch

  • Flap Cover Plus for Switch Lite – Unlike the 3DS, the Switch/Switch Lite has totally exposed screens and buttons. The small design of the Switch Lite makes it even more tempting to simply throw into a bag or pocket. But, the wear-and-tear will add up if it’s left in this state. Thus, Columbus Circle is producing what it is calling the Flap Cover Plus. It protects the rear of the Switch Lite at all times in addition to having a flip-cover that will shield the system when not in use (like how the clamshell design of the 3DS/DS worked). All ports are still accessible even with this cover on. It will also release in mid-December 2019 over in Japan for 1600 yen ($14.70 USD).
