Remakes for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 were announced earlier this year by Activision. When revealed, no Switch version was announced, which surprised us. Typically, Activision has supported Nintendo’s hybrid system with its remasters, if little else. However, a demo has just been released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and some interesting files have been found. Within the demo’s controller option files, images of three Switch controller layouts have been uncovered.
There’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater themed controller images for all the main ways to play on Switch. Full handheld mode, pro controller support and Joy-Con grip methods are all here. Whilst a Switch version still hasn’t been announced by Activision, this certainly raises the chances of a port. After all, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy both saw Switch versions arrive at a later date.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 remakes hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 4. With the release being so close, there’s no chance of a Switch version cropping up at launch. We could see a port next year though. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launched on Switch approximately one year after the PS4 launch, with Spyro Reignited Trilogy taking around 10 months to make the jump.
