Switch Pro

Rumors of a 2021 Switch Pro have been piling up for a while now. Something certainly seems to be going down with Nintendo next year – we’re poised to see major releases like the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a few games like Balan Wonderworld and Monster Hunter Rise have mysterious late-March release dates that roughly correspond with Nintendo’s grand vanishing act – many games such as Super Mario 3D All-Stars, the original Fire Emblem, and Super Mario Bros. 35 are slated to disappear from the eShop around this time. Some think that this, along with plenty of hardware rumors, signals that a Switch Pro is set to release next year. Do you buy it?

Personally, I’m starting to think that there is too much smoke to ignore. Additionally, an even more powerful handheld can help developers continue to push handheld games to new limits while addressing some key weaknesses as the next generation of games raises power standards across the industry. I think that the new system could launch with a revamped online, too – hence the mysterious late-March 2021 disappearances that we still don’t have an explanation for. While that’s all speculation, it’s my guess that a Switch Pro will be on store shelves next spring.

What do you think? Will we see a Switch Pro next year, or is it just wishful thinking? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
