Link's Awakening remake Famitsu score

The most recent Target weekly ad has introduced a cool incentive for those planning on picking up The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on its upcoming release weekend: a free set of pins depicting Link and Princess Zelda. You can catch a pixelated glimpse of the pins below in an image from Wario64’s Twitter account.

Link's Awakening

Two commemorative pins are not the sort of thing that will push very many people over the fence and convince them to preorder Link’s Awakening, but there are plenty who already plan on getting the game and do not care which retailer sells it to them. For that crowd, these pins could honestly make a difference. As excited as I am to eventually play The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, I have not arranged to buy it yet, so if I decide on an impulse purchase, I could find myself at Target next weekend. I’m a sucker for pins, what else can I say?

Does this pick-up bonus sway you even infinitesimally towards grabbing Link’s Awakening at Target next weekend? If you want those pins, make sure you move fast, because they will only be available in limited quantities. If you have already decided on a digital preorder, or if you will not be able to pick up the game right away, then you can just keep biding your time until release by checking out our glowing preview of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and by watching out for our review, which drops next week.
