Buka Entertainment and Cafundo Creative Studio set an August 12, 2021 release date for puzzle adventure Tetragon on Nintendo Switch

Publisher Buka Entertainment and developer Cafundo Creative Studio are bringing puzzle adventure Tetragon to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam with a release date of August 12, 2021. It will retail for $14.99 / €14.99, and a Tetragon demo is already available on oddly every platform except Switch, though a Switch eShop demo is expected to arrive soon too.

You play as Lucios, a woodsman seeking his missing son through four magical worlds that comprise more than 40 levels. Lucios is aided by ancient magic called the TetraGen that allows him to manipulate the world, shift stones, and change gravity in order to solve puzzles and continue on. Each level has been crafted like a “perfectly framed painting,” with each world intended to feel like a “beautiful gallery to explore,” and the soundtrack is supposed to enhance the feeling of mystery and wonder. The Tetragon announcement trailer seems to indicate that the developers are on the right track.

Tetragon began development in 2014, but it fell dormant until 2017, when creator Alexandre Chaves partnered with Cafundo Creative Studio to really kick things into high gear. It seems like the effort will have been worth it.
