the Big Konami art competition cosplay music covers sculptures on Twitter Instagram

I’ll level with you, folks: Nintendo news is dead this weekend. It has no pulse. It is cold to the touch. Thus, we are talking about “the big Konami art competition” on Twitter! Until May 11, the fabled Japanese video game developer is looking for any and all art you have that could pertain to Konami video games in any possible way, though you seemingly have to reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) in order to be eligible for a prize.

All entries are to be shared via Twitter (see below) or Instagram. If you sculpted Simon Belmont out of clay, they wanna see it. (I do too, for that matter.) If you did a cover of the Metal Gear Solid 3 song “Snake Eater,” they wanna hear it. If you built a Bomberman bomb (hopefully non-functional), they wanna pretend to detonate it! Or if you just drew a really cool picture of Vic Viper, Konami would like to see that too.

The winner of the big Konami art competition will receive codes for three Konami games from a given selection of choices. Frankly, in this day and age, that’s not much of a prize. But the real fun is just being able to share your art with other fans around the world, and the big Konami art competition will enable that. Plus, at least two runners up will receive one free game each.

What piece will you be submitting for the big Konami art competition?
