The Escapist Indie Showcase date June 11 noon EST

The whole summer is already spitting out video game showcases left and right, so surely we can fit one more. This is your reminder that The Escapist Indie Showcase is happening on Thursday, June 11 at 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET on The Escapist YouTube. This is actually a slight time shift from what was originally announced, and the change was made in order to accommodate the rescheduled time for Sony’s PlayStation 5 games event, which will occur the same day at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The Escapist Indie Showcase will include over 70 indie games from developers around the world, and following the main showcase, June 12-14 will be dedicated to diving deeper into those revealed titles on YouTube and Twitch. This will include hands-on demos, prerecorded gameplay, and developer interviews. The Escapist is a sister site to Nintendo Enthusiast, so we hope you’ll tune into it.

Of course, as we already alluded to, there are lots of events worth watching this summer. In addition to the PlayStation 5 event, there is EA Play Live 2020, Ubisoft Forward, Guerrilla Collective, IGN’s broad Summer of Gaming, and — the one that appeals to me most as a weeb — New Game+ Expo. Plus, the Wholesome Direct already happened, so we can check that one off the list.

So in conclusion: We’re going to be very tired at the end of summer. But right now, let’s look forward to The Escapist Indie Showcase. And check out the related deals going on in partnership with GOG.
