Sodesco recently announced that its open-world simulation title Truck Driver would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. All that was shown in the initial reveal was a few quick gameplay clips. Now, we get a chance to take a closer look in the form of the first batch of in-game screenshots taken directly from the Switch version.

The visual quality shown off in the screenshots is actually not half-bad. The resolution appears to be high, and it looks like there’s some notable anti-aliasing (not a lot of Switch titles use this). Texture quality is also not half bad, and the lighting and shadow effects look pretty nice as well. The shot of the inside cabin with the rain droplets also looks nice. Hopefully, that effect is dynamic and not static.
Truck Driver still does not have a release date or even a release window on Switch. Since Sodesco is going through the process of showing it off, hopefully, this means that the time for launch isn’t too far off from right now. The game is already available on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC build also in the works alongside the Nintendo Switch version. New updates will be coming to the Switch version alongside the other versions whenever it releases.
