The LAst Worker

The Last Worker will tackle complicated themes such as automation and dehumanization when it lands on Switch in 2022. The game, which comes from Wired Productions, Oiffy, and Wolf & Wood, builds a gameplay experience out of “a unique blend of first-person narrative, work simulation and stealth strategy.” The Last Worker places much emphasis on its story, themes, and delivery, utilizing an “all-star cast” to deliver it effectively. Behind strong early impressions, the game earned a nomination for a Golden Lion in the VR Expanded category at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. In the trailer below, you can familiarize yourself with the game and get a first look at the carefully crafted visuals.

The Last Worker clearly has a lot of thought and care poured into its design. Of course, its story will need to deliver for a lot of that to be worthwhile. Hopefully, the narrative hits all the right notes and gives the Switch another must-have indie adventure when it launches on the hybrid platform next year.
