The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki Switch version release date set for August in Japan

Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced that the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions of The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki will release in Japan on Aug. 26, 2021. The Asia version will also launch on the same date.

Hajimari no Kiseki was originally released for PlayStation 4 in Japan in August 2020. The Japanese title translates to “Trails of the Beginning,” which refers to the game being the first step towards something new for the Trails series. It is the tenth installment of the Trails series, with a story that picks up right after the events of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV. Moreover, it features three protagonists with their intertwining stories. The first is “the hero” and the central character of the Trails of Cold Steel series, Rean Schwarzer. The second is “the liberator” Lloyd Bannings, who previously appeared as the protagonist of Zero and Ao no Kiseki. Lastly, the third one is a mystery character, “C,” who wears a mask.

While the title refers to a new beginning, it is mainly for those who just finished playing Trails of Cold Steel IV. If you’ve yet to get into the series, Nintendo Switch ports of Trails of Cold Steel I and II will arrive this summer in Japan, so we can expect to see it arrive in the West sometime later.
