A massive arc in the long-running JRPG franchise The Legend of Heroes is set to come to a close next year when The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. While the latest story in this long-running series was initially a standalone story with no major connection to the other Legend of Heroes entries, each Cold Steel game has introduced more and more characters and story elements from the full franchise into the mix. Now, with the fourth and final entry, a bevy of characters from Trails in the Sky and Zero no Kiseki/Ao no Kiseki take center stage in the plot. A new trailer for the game shows some of these crossover heroes in action.
When the game launches in 2021, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will also be available in a number of different formats. A special “day one” edition of the game titled the Frontline Edition will be available, which includes a slick reversible cover, a mini-artbook titled The Black Records, and a special digital soundtrack download for “Echoes of Erebonia.” Additionally, fans will be able to dish out some extra dough for an even fancier limited edition of the game.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch, alongside PlayStation 4 and PC, in 2021.
